FREERUN ACADEMY – PARKOUR CLASSES

The wait is finally over! This is Denmarks best training center for Freerunning! At BOUNCE Freerun Academy, we have four different levels and you’ll learn everything from the basics of parkour to advanced freerunning flips. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or have previous experience, we have classes to fit all skill levels. Our spots fill up rather quickly, so be sure to book as soon as possible!

FReerun – everything is awesome!

All of our instructors are highly experienced freerunners and safety is our first priority. The format of our classes is similar to Flight Academy. We base our classes around your skill level and do our best to help you achieve the right techniques to improve at a steady and safe pace.

Our Freerun area is world class – Designed by Jump Squad and freerun legend Shaun Wood. He is one of the founding members of the international freerunning group, Team Farang. It doesn’t get much cooler than that!

what CLASS SHOULD I CHOOSE??

Everyone lears at their own pace. Sometimes your flips are easier to conquer than your saults and vice versa. Because of this, we’ve made a rough guide to the different levels of Freerun Academy. These can be customized based on the groups overall skill level.

  1. Recommended for beginners who have little to no experience within parkour/freerunning or other sports, as well as those with previous Freerun Academy experiences that want to repeat or relearn the basics.
    Level 1 of Freerun Academy focus on fundamental motorskills involved in freerunning (ex. rolling, climbing, hanging, proning, etc), as well as basic techniques and strength. Classes mix things up with parkour games in our Freerun area and other games around our venue, for example dodgeball slam dunk, X-Park, and our trampolines. For the duration of the term, level 1 will introduce you to vaults, handstands, and flips. We will also cover overcoming obstacle courses and how to effectively manoeuvre them. In all our classes, we focus a lot on team spirit, team unity and that everyone feels like a member of the BOUNCE Tribe!

  2. Recommended for those who have attended two or more classes of parkour/freerunning at BOUNCE or other sports clubs and already have good fundamentals within obstacles/flips and acrobatics.
    Level 2 of Freerun Academy focuses on fundamental motorskills involved in freerunning (ex. rolling, climbing, hanging, proning, etc), as well as basic techniques and strength. Classes start with learning saults and flips starting as early as day 1 and stuents will learn to combine exercises into small series of movement which are called Lines.
    Classes mix things up with parkour games in our Freerun area and other games around our venue, for example dodgeball slam dunk, X-Park, and our trampolines. During the course of the term, we will introduce smooth movements with flow, more advanced techniques in relation to saults and flips, such as wall flips or twist techniques. In all our classes, we focus a lot on team spirit, team unity and that everyone feels like a member of the BOUNCE Tribe!

  3. Level 3 is for those who have gone through four or more seasons of parkour/freerunning at BOUNCE or other sports clubs and have mastered the basics within running obstacles courses/flips and acrobatics.
    Here we focus less on fundamental motorskills involved in freerunning (ex. rolling, climbing, hanging, proning, etc), as well as basic techniques and strength. Instead, we take a more in depth approach to running obstacles, saults and flips, jumping from small heights, leaps and smooth movement with good flow. Classes mix things up with parkour games in our Freerun area and other games around our venue, for example dodgeball slam dunk, X-Park, and our trampolines. During the course of the term, we introduce students to fall techniques, absorbing techniques, difficult obstacles and double flips. Students will learn how to create their own obstacles and set their goals for training. In all our classes, we focus a lot on team spirit, team unity and that everyone feels like a member of the BOUNCE Tribe!

  4. To participate in our advanced group, you need to have attended at least five seasons of Freerun Academy and be approved by our Freerun Academy coaches, or passed the final test at level 4. We recommend that students in level 4 to have mastered level 1, 2, and 3 and have excellent knowledge of obstacles, flips and acrobatics.
    In Freerun Academy level 4, students will learn to take their own initiative and create their own training. From day 1, students and their coach will set up a plan on for their own development which includes goal setting, specialisation, and a list of tricks they want to master/learn. In all our classes, we focus a lot on team spirit, team unity and that everyone feels like a member of the BOUNCE Tribe!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
  1. Freerun Academy is a course at BOUNCE where you can learn parkour and freerunning. 

  2. We have different age groups for the different classes we offer. We have classes for all ages including children, teenagers and adults. To participate in Freerun Academy, you need to be at least 110cm tall.

  3. Classes for adults will be included in the schedule above. This schedule is updated before the start of the season. We also offer the alternative of private classes for various ages (minimum 3 years old)

  4. Unfortunately we do not have any classes that mixes adults and children, but we do offer private lessons you can both attend together with a private instructor.

  5. At Freerun Academy, you will learn everything you need to know about freerunning and parkour, including: swift movements, flips on the ground and other awesome tricks that will help you conquer physical obstacles. The different levels are a way for you to gauge your progress and understand the steps to take to reach the next level. You can download the syllabus for all levels here.

  6. Our seasons are 8 weeks, with breaks during holidays.

  7. You pay as soon as you book, which can be through our website or a payment link that is sent to your email.

    On our website you can subscribe to our newsletter and get the latest news about our classes. Subscribing to our newsletter does not constitute as a booking, this is merely a way to receive information about upcoming classes.

  9. Cancellations can be done 14 days before classes begin, at the very latest in order to receive a refund. To do this, please get in touch with our contact center, tell us you wish to cancel and you will be given a refund a few days after your call. If you cancel after 14 days before classes begin, we are unable to offer a refund if you have already paid for your class.

  10. If a cancellation occurs within two weeks before classes begin, up until classes start, you have the possibility to change your mind and receive a refund in the form of a gift card that you can use for future bookings at BOUNCE.

  11. If you become ill/sick we recommend that you contact us as soon as possible so we can let your instructor for the day know.
    If you happen to miss a class, you have the opportunity to partake in another group that fits your age and skill level, which is subject to availability. If you do not have the opportunity to partake in another group, you will receive a gift card filled with the cost of your missed class.

  12. If a participant is under 12 years old, the parent or guardian is responsible for drop off and pick up. If the participant is over 12 years old, they can come and go by themselves.

  13. Comfortable clothing that provides mobility, like sports clothes. We advise you to bring spare clothes, since we have both changing rooms and showers for you to use.

  14. As a student of any of our Academies at BOUNCE, you can come and jump for free on the weekdays. This is only via drop in and cannot be booked ahead of time. Exceptions are during holidays, weekends, or special events.
